Her last call was from a new cell phone… A motorcycle crashed into the Car……

 The Honda crotch rocket rider was traveling at approximately 85 mph. The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle. The rider’s reaction time was not sufficient to avoid this accident.

The car had two passengers, and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 20 feet from where the collision took place. 
All three involved (two in the car, and the bike rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Motorcycle Fair by the Police/Road Safety Dept.

BEIJING – A top Chinese leader called for stepped-up research into vaccines and drugs for hand, foot and mouth disease after 40 children died from outbreaks last month, a state news agency said Saturday.

The Ministry of Health reported 77,756 cases of the disease in March. The number of deaths increased sharply, up from 10 in February.

“Preventing and controlling various infectious diseases such as the hand-foot-mouth disease is a key task,” Xinhua News Agency quoted Vice Premier Li Keqiang as saying.

China sees deadly outbreaks of hand, foot and mouth disease every spring and summer, particularly in rural areas where hygiene is poor. There were 353 deaths from the disease in 2009, according to Health Ministry figures. (more…)
